Conducting Master Class and Master Class for Soloists

Once more Wiener Musikseminar organises a master class for conductors and soloists (except for pianists) with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra, which will be held by Prof. Johannes Wildner, conducting professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
From 28th to 30th July the students rehearse with two pianos, from 3rd to 5th August they work with the orchestra. The final concert in Congress Casino Baden on 5th August at 6.30 p.m. includes a competition for the conductors and a considerable jury will award a certificate to the three best students.

Limited number of participants. Registration is possible until 30th June 2020.

Conducting Master Class

Works to prepare:

  • Ludwig van Beethoven - Egmont op. 84 „Ouvertüre“
  • Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphonie Nr. 3 in Es-Dur op. 55
  • Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphonie Nr. 4 in B-Dur op. 60
  • Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphonie Nr. 5 in c-Moll op. 67

Each participant has to choose two pieces from the literature proposed. The prepared works have to be announced in the course of the registration. On the first course day Prof. Johannes Wildner will select between beginners and advanced students. From 28th to 30th July the students will work with two pianos, from3rd to 5th August with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra. Every student can work 80 minutes with the orchestra. 

Master Class for Soloists

Soloists (except for pianists) have the opportunity to study one piece of music with orchestra in accordance with our office. From 28th to 30th July the students rehearse with two pianos, and from 3rd to 5th August they work with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra.
