Krassimira Jordan

Born in Varna, Bulgaria, of Russian and Bulgarian parents. She studied in Sofia, Vienna and Moscow, where she was a pupil of Stanislav Neuhaus and Emil Gilels. A series of prestigious international prizes were awarded to her, including the International Piano Competitions “Alessandro Casagrande” and “Alfredo Casella”, as well as the Mozart “Clara Haskil” Prize. K. Jordan was the Gold Medal winner at the Rio de Janeiro International Piano Competition. She performed as recitalist and orchestral soloist in many European countries as well as in South-Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico and USA. She taught extensively at the University of Music and Performing Arts and currently is Professor of Piano and Artist-in-Residence at Baylor University Texas.
